Overall
Portland has no shortage of great breweries, but Cascade Hop House manages to stand out in one of the most competitive craft beer markets in the country.
Their commitment to fresh, local ingredients is evident in every pour. The Fresh Hop Harvest IPA is legendary for good reason, and the Douglas Fir Dark Ale is unlike anything else you will find.
The space is pure Portland: industrial chic with plenty of greenery, communal tables, and a dog-friendly patio. Food trucks rotate outside, and the brewery keeps a curated menu of snacks and small plates inside.
It is a bit out of the way from downtown, but well worth the trip. Take the streetcar and enjoy the ride.
